Wound Care Journey

The Wound Care Journey Program is a comprehensive educational workshop designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and clinical skills in assessing and managing various wound types. Through a structured curriculum, the program covers essential concepts such as wound classification, nutritional and psychological considerations in wound healing, and modern approaches to wound management. Attendees will gain in-depth understanding of the principles that guide effective wound care practices in clinical settings.

This two-day training, held at the Alahsa Clinical Skills Center and Simulation Lab, leverages simulation-based learning to ensure that participants develop hands-on competence in handling complex wound cases. A strong focus is placed on the management of diabetic foot ulcers and pressure injuries—conditions commonly encountered in healthcare environments. The program aims to empower healthcare professionals with updated evidence-based strategies that improve patient outcomes and elevate the standard of care.
